Este un expectorant eficient, ce fluidizeaza secretiile faringiene. Pentru a pregati un ceai, pune o lingurita de cimbru la 250-300 ml de apa fierbinte, apoi asteapta sa se infuzeze 5-10 minute. Aceasta radacina este folosita din cele mai vechi timpuri ca tratament impotriva tusei, iar gustul sau bland este placut chiar si fara indulcitor, asa ca iti recomandam sa incerci un ceai de lemn dulce, care iti va reda starea de bine. Pune o lingurita de radacina maruntita in apa fierbinte si lasa la infuzat cateva minute. Substantele continute de frunzele de nalba protejeaza gatul, fiind utile in caz de inflamatii ale mucoaselor. Infuzia se pregateste dintr-o lingurita de planta maruntita la 300 ml de apa fierbinte.
