Pentru c\u0103 evenimentul a avut loc vara, pe o vreme torid\u0103, ceaiul cald nu a fost apreciat de vizitatori, astfel c\u0103 Blechynden a avut ideea s\u0103-l serveasc\u0103 rece, \u00een pahare cu ghea\u021b\u0103. Acest mod de prezentare a avut un foarte mare succes, motiv pentru care <strong>Richard Blechynden<\/strong> este considerat inventatorul ceaiului cu ghea\u021b\u0103. Totu\u0219i, mai corect ar fi s\u0103 spunem c\u0103 lui i se datoreaz\u0103 <strong>popularizarea<\/strong> acestei b\u0103uturi, deoarece variante de ceai rece existau \u00eenc\u0103 de la \u00eenceputul secolului al XIX-lea.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Primele ceaiuri cu ghea\u021b\u0103 erau, de fapt, <strong>cocktailuri cu alcool (<em>punch-uri<\/em>)<\/strong>, la preg\u0103tirea c\u0103rora se folosea \u00een special <a href=\"http:\/\/doro-tea.ro\/ceaiuri\/ceai-verde\" target=\"_blank\">ceai verde<\/a>, \u00een detrimentul ceaiului negru, preferat \u00een prezent. C\u0103r\u021bile de bucate engleze \u0219i americane prezentau pe larg astfel de re\u021bete.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prima versiune de ceai cu ghea\u021b\u0103, a\u0219a cum este el cunoscut ast\u0103zi, de\u0219i f\u0103cut cu ceai verde, dateaz\u0103 din anul <strong>1879<\/strong> \u0219i apar\u021bine lui Marion Cabell. Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 ghea\u021b\u0103, re\u021beta cuprindea l\u0103m\u00e2ie \u0219i zah\u0103r. Ulterior, \u00een 1884, au ap\u0103rut \u0219i re\u021betele cu <a href=\"http:\/\/doro-tea.ro\/ceaiuri\/ceai-negru\" target=\"_blank\">ceai negru<\/a>, o preferin\u021b\u0103 \u00eencurajat\u0103 de pre\u021bul sc\u0103zut al acestui ceai, importat din India \u0219i Ceylon.
