Dup\u0103 mai multe experimente \u00een valea Ketti, produc\u021bia comercial\u0103 a luat av\u00e2nt pe domeniile Thiashola \u0219i Dunsandle, \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu anul 1859. O sut\u0103 de ani mai t\u00e2rziu, Glensmorgan a devenit prima zon\u0103 din India de Sud produc\u0103toare de ceai verde.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ceaiul Nilgiri \u00ee\u0219i ia numele de la mun\u021bii omonimi, numi\u021bi \u0219i Alba\u0219tri datorit\u0103 unei specii rare de flori albastre care \u00eenfloresc aici o dat\u0103 la 12 ani. Planta ceaiului este cultivat\u0103 la altitudini cuprinse \u00eentre 1000 \u0219i 2500 de metri. Datorit\u0103 condi\u021biilor meteo, ceaiul Nilgiri se remarc\u0103 printr-un gust aromat, cremos, infuzia av\u00e2nd culoarea galben\u0103. Anual, \u00een India se produc circa 92 de milioane kg de Nilgiri, ceea ce reprezint\u0103 circa 10% din produc\u021bia total\u0103 de ceai a \u021b\u0103rii.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kangra <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Districtul Kangra din regiunea indian\u0103 Himachal Pradesh a fost apreciat ca fiind o zon\u0103 cu poten\u021bial de cultivare a ceaiului de c\u0103tre Dr. Jameson \u00een 1829. El a adus plante chineze\u0219ti de ceai din Almora \u0219i Dehradun, pe care le-a plantat \u00een Kangra, Nagrota \u0219i Bhawarna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ceaiul Kangra se cultiv\u0103 \u00een prezent pe o suprafa\u021b\u0103 de 2.063 de hectare \u00een districtele Kangra \u0219i Mandi. Valea Kangra se afl\u0103 la poalele mun\u021bilor Dhauladhar, la o altitudine de 1500 de metri peste nivelul m\u0103rii. Ulterior, regiunea Dooars s-a bucurat de prima gr\u0103din\u0103 de ceai, Gazeldubi, iar p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een 1876 zona avea deja 13 planta\u021bii. \u00cen prezent, Dooars \u0219i Terai au o produc\u021bie anual\u0103 total\u0103 de 226 de milioane de kg de ceai, adic\u0103 aprox. 25% din recolta de ceai indian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Denumirea \u201cDooars\u201d provine din cuv\u00e2ntul englezesc \u201cdoors\u201d,\u00a0deoarece regiunea este o\u00a0poart\u0103 spre India de Nord \u0219i Bhutan.
