Dac\u0103 auzi\u021bi acum pentru\nprima dat\u0103 de el, nu sunte\u021bi singurii \ud83d\ude42 Este o form\u0103 veche \u0219i se folose\u0219te extrem\nde rar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuv\u00e2ntul rom\u00e2nesc \u201cceai\u201d provine din rusescul <strong>\u201c\u010dai\u201d<\/strong>. \u00cens\u0103 cum s-a ajuns la aceast\u0103 form\u0103 \u0219i de ce difer\u0103 de \u201cceaiul\u201d din alte limbi, care folosesc o varia\u021biune a termenului \u201ete\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u0103 o lu\u0103m cu \u00eenceputul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>De la <em>Theus<\/em> \u0219i <em>Camellia<\/em><\/strong><strong> la \u201c<em>Camellia\nsinensis<\/em>\u201d <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Conform lucr\u0103rii \u201cSpecies Plantarum\u201d, scris\u0103\nde botanistul Carl Linnaeus \u00een anul 1762, ceaiul era \u00eencadrat \u00een dou\u0103 genuri: <em>Theus<\/em>\n\u0219i <em>Camellia<\/em>. La acea vreme, cercet\u0103torul nu \u0219tia c\u0103 ceaiul verde \u0219i cel\nnegru proveneau de la acela\u0219i arbust, astfel c\u0103 le-a dat dou\u0103 denumiri\ndiferite: <em>Thea viridis<\/em>, respectiv <em>Thea bohea<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ulterior, \u00een secolul al XIX-lea, un\nalt botanist a unit cele dou\u0103 genuri \u00eentr-unul singur, <em>Camellia<\/em>. Numele\nprovine de la preotul iezuit Georg Joseph Kamel (1661-1706), care a studiat\nplantele asiatice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen anul 1959, denumirii de <em>Camellia<\/em>\ni-a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 \u0219i <em>sinensis<\/em>, care \u00eenseamn\u0103 \u201edin China\u201d, \u021bara de origine a plantei. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cha sau te?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u00e2nd portughezii au \u00eenceput s\u0103 cumpere ceai din\nChina, ei f\u0103ceau tranzac\u021biile comerciale prin portul Macao, unde cuv\u00e2ntul pentru\n\u201cceai\u201d din chineza vorbit\u0103 \u00een acea\nregiune era \u201ccha\u201d. \u00cen schimb, navele olandeze de ceai au folosit pentru comer\u021b\nportul Amoy (Xiamen) din provincia Fujian din China \u0219i au preluat astfel termenul\nlocal \u201cte\u201d. Primul \u201ctea\u201d englezesc, oficial, dateaz\u0103 din anul 1615,\nfiind men\u021bionat \u00eentr-o scrisoare comercial\u0103. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multe dintre statele din Europa de vest au\npreluat varianta \u201cte\u201d,\ncare variaz\u0103 u\u0219or \u00een func\u021bie de limb\u0103: \u201ct\u00e8\u201d &#8211; italian\u0103, \u201cth\u00e9\u201d\n&#8211; francez\u0103, \u201cte\u201d \u2013 suedez\u0103,\n\u201ct\u00e9\u201d\/ \u201cth\u00e9\u201d -ceh\u0103 etc. \u00cen schimb, Rusia, India, Turcia \u0219i alte state arabe\nutilizeaz\u0103 denumirea \u201cchai\u201d, \u00eemprumutat\u0103 din limba persan\u0103 \u0219i care provine din pronun\u021bia\n\u00een chineza din nord a cuv\u00e2ntului \u201ccha\u201d.
